PHILIPPINE EMBASSY CONDUCTS TRAINING ON BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BATCH 4) FOR CAREGIVERS IN ISRAEL
09 July 2019, Tel Aviv. – The Philippine Embassy in Israel, through the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) – Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), conducted the 4th batch of training for Basic Life Support (BLS) to twenty three (23) Filipino caregivers on 07 July 2019 at the Conference Room of the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv.
Labor Attaché Rodolfo Gabasan and Welfare Officer Cornelia DG. Chanco welcomed and informed the participants that the BLS is part of the Embassy’s Reintegration Program for all caregivers whose duration of employment contracts is only for 5 years and 1 month.
Resource speaker Janice Matias discussed the techniques, tips and procedures in performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for adults and infants, and other first-aid procedures.
In his closing remarks, Consul General Randy Arquiza encouraged the participants to practice what they have learned and to continue participating in future trainings by the POLO-OWWA.
The BLS training provides participants with the necessary knowledge and skills essential in saving a person’s life in emergency situations. — END
